The Office...
Who finds passion in stuffing envelopes and who finds great purpose in organizing church contacts. Who finds passion in booking services? I never see a purpose in finding passion for it, even though I do it most everyday. I do the behind the scenes stuff that no one really sees or notices(and trust me, it's ok (but I know some do notice). I hate what I do sometimes and I don't feel like doing it but I know it needs to be done and I value everything that's accomplished. I find joy in booking services and planning stuff and recruiting new students, because it simply needs to be done. Hear my heart my "passion" for all this is different, I won't shout it from the rooftop and I'll have my immature moments and grumble about it sometimes but I find value in what I do because someone needs to do it. Sending a Acceptance letter is the coolest thing because all the brunt work I did paid off...Honestly, I get to put an acceptance letter together and it is exciting to me, I'm playing a part in someones Destiny. I know Chantel blogged about passion in what you do and she's right but you don't have to express it in an outward way, because it's an internal thing for me. I downplay what I do and I know that but I really do think i play a small role on the team(which is fine) and my small role is doing big things when everyone on the team comes together. I don't see the finished product until the end, when we are doing a service and nothing fell through and if it did then we had a backup plan. Thats where I find value in what I do. I see the finished picture and that's where the purpose is.
By the way Congrats Nathan Freeman!!!! I'm so happy you've been accepted into DMC, can't wait to see you hear next year!!!
